Elevator History

Bay State Elevator was established in 1908 located in Springfield Massachusetts. A hundred years ago in elevator history, the landscape was very different but the company commitment to customer service has remained the same. As the Northeast grew so did Bay State Elevator as a full service company we installed many of the elevators that carry passengers in our hospitals, universities and office buildings. As the decades have passed we have also modernized much of this original equipment to make sure the passengers of tomorrow travel quickly and safely to their destinations.

Elevator Statement

The Bay State Elevator Statement, is that the cornerstone of our foundation is our people, with decades of experience there is no building too tall or question too complicated. Our field staff prides itself in being the most knowledgeable and you won’t meet a technician in our company who has the term “foreign equipment” in their vocabulary. We are here to help you plan logistically and financially for the life cycle of your elevator. As a fourth generation family owned business we have deep roots in the community.

Elevator Service

In our elevator service, we’ve also removed all the annoying layers of customer service. When you call us for help with elevator service our dispatcher answers the phone and they will direct you to the right person immediately, no automated operator or phone trees. Whether you need to speak to a sales representative or our operations staff you will always be greeted with the same question, “How can I help you?” It seems simple but it reflects our core value as a company, we strive to listen to you and help you best achieve your goals. We understand that every business is unique so we make it a priority to develop a plan that works for your building’s needs.
