Endura - Low to Mid Rise

Low Rise Buildings (elevators that travel up to 60 feet)

Endura – This product line requires no drilling and features a Twinpost jack to move the elevator.

A. Twinpost Above-Ground 1-stage

  • This compact and efficient unit is the ideal choice for an elevator making 2 stops. Maximum travel distance in a standard configuration is 12’-8”, however a travel height of 18’-11” can be achieved with alterations to pit depth and overhead height.

Additional Travel Details:

  • At 100 fpm or less, pit and/or overhead must be increased 1" for every 1" of net travel over 12'-8" up to 18'-11"
  • Over 100 fpm, pit and/or overhead must be increased 1" for every 1" of net travel over 12'-5" up to 18'-8".
    • Maximum 2'-0" allowed in overhead.
    • Travel limitations may vary depending upon model, application weights and specific job requirements.
    • For multiple elevators: Add 4" for a divider beam between hoistways.
  • Safety beams are required by OSHA 1926.502, provided and installed by others as directed by Bay State Elevator. Clear overhead dimensions shown are to the bottom of the beam; the beam may not encroach into these required clear overhead dimensions.
  • If ASME A17.1-2000 thru ASME A17.1-2007 is applicable to your building, please contact us to verify the requirement for a pocket or wider hoistway to accommodate a 7” pit ladder.

B. Twinpost Above-Ground 2-stage

  • The two stage configuration nearly doubles the travel distance the elevator can extend. Maximum travel distance in a standard configuration is 23’-2.5”, however a travel height of 28’-6” can be achieved with alterations to pit depth and overhead height.

Additional Travel Details:

  • Pit and/or overhead must increase 1" for every 2" of net travel over 23'-2 1/2" net travel up to 28'-6" net travel.
  • Maximum 2'-0" allowed in overhead.
  • Travel limitations may vary depending upon model, application weights and specific job requirements.
  • For multiple elevators, add 4" for a divider beam between hoistways.
  • Safety beams are required by OSHA 1926.502, provided and installed by others as directed by TKE. Clear overhead dimensions shown are to the bottom of the beam; the beam may not encroach into these required clear overhead dimensions
  • If ASME A17.1-2000 thru ASME A17.1-2007 is applicable to your building, please contact your local ThyssenKrupp Sales Representative to verify the requirement for a pocket or wider hoistway to accommodate a 7” pit ladder.

C. Twinpost Above-Ground 3-stage

  • The three stage configuration offers the maximum distance an elevator can travel with an above ground installation. Maximum travel distance in a standard configuration is 33’-6.5”, however a travel height of 48’-3.5” can be achieved with alterations to pit depth and overhead height.

Additional Travel Details:

    • Pit and/or overhead increases 1" for every 3" of net travel over 33'-6 1/2" up to 48'-3 1/2".
Clear overhead dimensions shown are to the bottom of the beam; the beam may not encroach into these required clear overhead dimensions.
  • If ASME A17.1-2000 thru ASME A17.1-2007 is applicable to your building, please contact your local ThyssenKrupp Sales Representative to verify the requirement for a pocket or wider hoistway to accommodate a 7” pit ladder.

Endura – Traditional “Below Ground” Model

For applications where drilling is not an issue we also offer a Below-Ground option, in most situations the maximum travel distance of this solution is 60’

Additional product details:

  • Car Top Railing: If required per rule 2.14.1.7.1 of the ASME A17.1 safety code, clear overhead becomes 12'-5" up to 100 fpm or 12'-8" over 100 fpm.
  • Safety beams are required by OSHA 1926.502, provided and installed by others as directed by TKE. Clear overhead dimensions shown are to the bottom of the beam; the beam may not encroach into these required clear overhead dimensions.
  • For multiple elevators, add 4" for a divider beam between hoistways.
  • If ASME A17.1-2000 thru ASME A17.1-2007 is applicable to your building, please contact your local ThyssenKrupp Sales Representative to verify the requirement for a pocket or wider hoistway to accommodate a 7” pit ladder.
